It seems to me that Loewy's logo is a reinterpretation of the one designed by Albe and Lica Steiner for italian Coop in 1963.

I prefer Steiner's because, with the use of interconnected letters, it suggests "cooperation" right from the logo.

It’s the letters. They just lend themselves towards similar outcomes

Consider me very much impressed by the design of Co-op France's logo from 1966. You have a strong penchant for doing justice to vintage media in your own right, and I approve of your methods.
