I worked closely with KF in the mid 1990s whilst working for Landor. We worked on the now not so new modified symbol, part of a restructuring of the organisation. Franco Bonadio, Hide Matsunaga and myself (Ian Haughton) worked on the new identity system. What I remember most was the willingness of KF to push creative ideas. It was a real pleasure to be involved.
Thanks for sharing this Ian. I spotted on your site that you also worked with BT. I'm just working on the Banks and Miles BT Logo History. Do you know whether there was a name for the Telecom 'T'? It would be great to connect as well at some point. I'm sure you have some good stories to tell.
I'm afraid I don't. At the time we were working on refreshing the colour and identity system around the Piper, introduced by Wolff Olins. A key aspect was the introduction of BT sans typeface, which I worked on with Dalton Maag. The Banks and Miles logo I know obviously, but it was a little before my time.
