Today, in Issue 17 of Logo Histories’ Research Archive we have elements from Knoll’s brand guidelines by Chermayeff & Geismar in 1993. These feature Massimo Vignelli’s logotype. Also, the surprising logo for UK construction firm Bovis designed by Wolff Olins in 1971. And finally, assets from the Kawasaki Shinkin Bank brand guidelines from 1972 by Mitsuo Katsui. I’m hoping to do a series of short videos on these brand guidelines for paid subscribers. Let me know if that might be of interest.
Research Archive is a look at some of the materials I’ve picked up to write Logo Histories. If you’d like to support this project and access our Logo Histories archive which now includes nearly 100 stories of logo design of the past (Free previews) as well as receiving new stories straight to you inbox, click the button below and upgrade to paid. That’s a book worth for just $5 a month. Please share with others and help us write more.
Have a great weekend.
